Just Jack, (2012).

Jack was getting ready for his first day at kinder. He wouldn't know anyone. How would he make friends? Then Jack had an idea. He put on his red-and-blue suit, his yellow cape, his special socks, his gumboots and, last of all, his shiny black mask.

Super Jack was ready for action!
And all the other kids loved him!

But what will Jack do when his costume needs a wash?

Will his new friends still like him when he's just Jack?

A great book for little kids about to start kindergarten or school.
— Junior Bookseller + Publisher
A lovely, lively story ... This picture book is sure to be a hit with kindy and prep children, particularly before, or in the first weeks of their new experiences.
— THE COURIER MAIL

This is a funny, bright story about self assurance.

On his first day at kinder Jack decides to wear his super costume to make himself feel braver.

He is such an energetic, helpful child that the other kids love him. But what will Jack do when his costume needs a wash? Will his new friends like him when he is just Jack?

Personal:

I have exaggerated the emotion in my drawings to show Jack’s enthusiasm as well as his slowly increased anxiety. The messy costume illustrates how tactile and involved he is in activities...the main reason that the others children enjoy playing with him.

A story about being good enough just as you are.
